2017 Black Hills Digital Mapping Association Conference

The BHDMA Conference is fast approaching! The conference planning committee has put together an outstanding agenda of training and speakers. Here are a few highlights:

Keynote Speaker – MIKE HEADLEY, Director of the Sanford Underground Research Facility 
               
Join us to hear all about the use of geospatial mapping technologies and survey techniques a mile underground!

Training – A full day of training options
    
Take 8 hours of ArcGIS Pro or QGIS training, spend half a day learning Modelbuilder, about UAS or mobile data collection

Hands-on Learning Lab – It’s back with extended hours on Tuesday!
     
As well as an updated curriculum with new training lessons.

Workshops and Speakers – new content from speakers representing industry and government

Topics range from remote sensing applications, UAV, LiDAR to Story Maps and Survey123
           
Parking – to alleviate the parking issues at this venue, a portion of the stadium parking has been reserved. A shuttle will be available to bring participants to the conference building

Cost – a minimum increase in fees

Tuesday Training  (If the minimum enrollment isn’t met, the class will be cancelled by October 1st and refunds issued)

  • $120.00 for the 8 hour classes and $60.00 for a 4 hour session

  • A box lunch will be provided for those taking an 8 hour training class, or two 4 hour sessions

Wednesday Conference

  • Early bird registration ($55.00) – begins September 1st

  • Regular registration ($70.00) – starting October 1st
